CHI
I sent Chi a questionnaire via email. The following text has been extracted from this discussion. Chi is also currently in the process of becoming a host - a factor I shall discuss further on.

Try to meet new people, socialize, have a fun chat
Do you think it is important to connect with people in person rather than online and why?
Yes, in person just seems more human - you get more out of the conversions.

facebook, twitter, linkedin, snapchat, instagram,
Have you formed online connections with the people you have met at teawithstrangers (added on facebook etc.)?
no

yes

not really, i should!
Did you find the location of the café where the teawithstrangers event you attended was held affected whether you wanted to attend?
yes, i am much more likely to go to an event nearby
Do you feel it is hard to meet people or make friends in London?
yes, more so than canada
Do you think as technology and social media continues to advance that we will spend less time with people offline? Do new technologies and social media mean it is easier than ever to meet new people, or is it now harder to connect with someone?
social media is a tool which can be useful for keeping into touch with people from your past, but too many people use it as a replacement for real human contact. I think it does make it more difficult to meet new people, but used properly, it is still a useful tool none the less.
Any general thoughts on teawithstrangers/connecting offline or online in London?
it is a great site to meet people, I love the idea and am a big fan.
